Does the thought of walking into a room full of dogs and people worry you?
-
Do you walk your dog late at night to avoid people and other dogs?
-
Has your dog bitten another dog or a person?Have you tried other trainers in the area and not got the ongoing support you need?
We CAN help........................................
Please note our training methods take time, we use only positive reward based training and will not use punishment of any kind. Generally dogs that behave aggressively towards people/dogs do so from fear based emotions. By using water sprays, rattle bottles, shouting and yanking you might stop your dog reacting in the short term but WILL make the problem worse in the long term. Treating a dog for behaviour problems takes time, there is no quick fix.
Check out http://www.apbc.org.uk/articles for more information on training methods

Meet Noah.......

Noah came to us 2 years ago, due to be put to sleep by his current owners. He had a history of over 8 bites to people, all puncture wounds, some requiring medical attention. He was 2 years old.
He was also not good with other dogs. If you grabbed his collar, tried to brush him, bath him, move him by his collar, stroke his head, legs, tail he WOULD bite you........ and boy did he mean it!
Noah also didn't warn before he bit, no growling or snarling, just straight into a bite - very dangerous to work with!
Today....... Noah is now 4 years old, lives with Gill and if any of you would like to meet him you are more than welcome. if you want to stroke him that is also fine. We are now able to groom, clip, grab, and bath Noah. In fact he goes to work with Gill as a college lecturer and spends time in the classroom with students safely.
Meet Lilly.......

Lilly has been with us since June 2010, due to be put to sleep by her current owners. She had a bite history with people because she was so fearful due to lack of socialisation when young (her collie chase and nip instinct took over) and is 2years old old. When I first met Lilly she was a quivering wreck, it took 2 sessions before she would take treats from me and 5-6 sessions before I became her friend.
Today....... Lilly is still very much work in progress but can now walk up to any adult person and take treats from that person confidently.
We all have direct experience of many breeds of dogs and behavior problems Running our dog rescue over the last 3 years we have taken in, lived with and trained over 50 dogs with a variety of problems - so we know what it is like to live with a dog that barks, has problems with other dogs, bites people, cannot be left alone etc.
How many trainers in the area have actually tackled the problems you experience first hand, it is all well and good telling you to follow a training programme but unless you have done it yourself you can have no idea what it is like to live with a dog with problems.
