It is important that dogs learn how to behave off lead with other dogs, it isn't enough to take your dog to the field and let them off lead, how do you know if they are learning the right skills. Maybe the dog they are playing with doesn't know how to play correctly and is teaching your dog the wrong skills.
Puppy Playgroups - Under 4 Months (on the first session)
Bring your puppy along for a funfilled and educational puppy play session! Designed for puppies aged 2-6 months old and welcome straight after their first vaccination. Playgroups are not a free-for-all, your puppy will learn how to play appropriately with other puppies in a controlled and supervised environment. No booking is required, just turn up for a 20 minute session at just £3 per puppy.
How it Works..
We don't split up big and small puppies as many playgroups do. Big puppies need to learn to be careful and play gentle with little puppies, and little puppies need to gain confidence around big pupies and learn not to be scared or nervous (which is where 'small, snappy and yappy dogs' often develop from). Play needs to be appropriate and mutual - you jump on me, I jump on you -, over-the-top or very vocal play is discouraged using 'time-outs' and puppies are controlled from crowding or harrassing those that may be initially shy or worried.
